ST. LOUIS — A deadly shooting in North St. Louis’ Walnut Park neighborhood is under investigation after a man was found shot and killed Tuesday evening.
According to the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department, officers from the 6th District responded to reports of gunfire near West Florissant Avenue and Thrush Avenue just after 5:00 p.m. Upon arrival, they discovered an adult male victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The victim known as Luh Jay Relloworld, a St. Louis resident. His death marks yet another violent incident in the Walnut Park area, where neighbors say shootings have become an all-too-familiar occurrence.
Homicide detectives have been called to lead the investigation. At this time, no arrests have been made, and authorities have not released information regarding a suspect or possible motive.
